KATHMANDU, May 3: The country is influenced by western winds as well as local winds at present. This morning, there is partial to normal change in the weather across the country. A few places in Gandaki province and a couple of places in the hilly areas of Lumbini province are receiving light rain, according to the Meteorological Forecast Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
Today in the afternoon, there will be a general change in the hilly areas of the country, including the Far Western Province and Karnali Province, and the weather will remain generally clear with partial change in the rest of the country. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly areas of the country and in the rest of the country.

Similarly, the weather will be partly cloudy to normal in the rest of the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms at a few places in the hilly areas of the country and one or two places in the rest of the country.
