125,000 lamps to be lit at Janaki temple to mark inauguration of Ram Temple in India’s Ayodhya

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: There are preparations to light as many as 125,000 ghee lamps (Diyo) on January 22 at the Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham on the occasion of the inauguration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India.

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: There are preparations to light as many as 125,000 ghee lamps (Diyo) on January 22 at the Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham on the occasion of the inauguration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India. 


According to Chhote Mahanta Ramroshan Das of Janaki Temple, 125,000 ghee lamps are prepared to be lit on the day of inauguration of Ram Temple. He also said that there is a plan to celebrate that day as a festival.

He also said that preparations have been intensified keeping in mind the day of Ram Temple's inauguration.


He also requested everyone to attend the ghee lamp lighting ceremony as the inauguration of Ram temple is special for both India and Nepal.


More than 3,000 items including gold and silver ornaments, clothes, fruits, etc. have been sent to Ayodhya from Ram's in-laws for the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
