PARBAT, April 9: A newly built road running along the area from Majhfant bagar of Jaljala rural municipality to Lopre of Lekhfant has come into operation.
Local farmers are elated over their first-time access to a road since it is likely that they can increase their income level through the sale of their agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits, milk etc using this road.
Waribeni-Mallaj linking road project completed before deadline
Lawmaker Arjun Prasad Joshi had played a pivotal role in the construction of this road. “ I had taken an initiative to pressurize the government for fund required for road building. My initiative resulted in the allocation of Rs 24 lakh by the government for the construction of this road”, said lawmaker Joshi . “Locals had difficulty taking their agricultural products to the market. Now they are free from this problem”, added Joshi.
The road was constructed at the cost of Rs 42 lakh. Locals had contributed Rs 18 lakh and lawmaker Joshi lobbied with the government for the allocation of Rs Rs. 24 lakh, informed Road Construction Committee chairman Som Bahadur Tilija
