KATHMANDU, August 16: The vehicles carrying garbage from Kathmandu to Banchare Danda were stopped by the locals on Thursday as well.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Purna Chandra Bhatta said that vehicles carrying garbage from Kathmandu were stopped today as well. He said, “Some locals have stopped the garbage trucks even today. The police team is going to the area.”

On Wednesday, after discussions between the chief district officers of Kathmandu, Dhading and Nuwakot, people's representatives of Dhunibeshi Municipality of Dhading and Kakani Rural Municipality of Nuwakot and Chief Administrative Officer of KMC, a four-point agreement was reached to end the obstruction of garbage disposal in Banchare Danda.
