KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Shishir Khanal has said that the police were negligent in the Lotse Mall robbery incident on Monday. Speaking in the zero hour of parliament on Wednesday, he said that due to the ineffectiveness of the police operation, there was damage that should not have happened in Lotse Mall.
Lotse Mall and Kantipur Mall inside Gongbu Bus Park were vandalized during protests by transport workers. The vandalism and looting caused the malls a loss of millions of rupees. “Due to the ineffectiveness of the police operation, there was damage that should not have happened,” said MP Khanal.

He has demanded that the guilty be brought to justice and the businessmen be compensated.
