Solving one side of the Rubik’s Cube is easy, but solving an entire block is no piece of cake. Relationships are pretty much the same. There are many hurdles that you need surpass learning from your mistakes and comprising your choices.
The past was much simpler. People simply got married to continue their bloodline. Today, relationships are complicated. Love comes in different forms, exhibiting an array of emotions as you aboard the life-long journey.

Sadly, some even end up in divorces. The current rate of divorces affects several people of our generation. Though they are more common now, divorces were illegal until 1969.
Consider divorces as both: progress and a retreat. People are now able to identify their choices and enjoy their lives the way they wish. But would you consider it a progress or retreat for your children who you brought to this world?
Nepal has always been a male dominating society. It was impossible for women to speak against men. However, over the decades, women have empowered themselves. That might be the reason why 4 out of 5 Nepalese divorces are filed by the wives. Nonetheless, the law does not give enough benefits after the divorce creating obstacles for both, the mother and the child (mostly because fathers are not given the right to have the child). So, choose to make the right decision.
I’m not against divorces but don’t encourage it either. I have experienced my friends going through hopelessness and depression after their parents’ separation.
We all can agree that divorce is the last option but may not be the only one. So, this is a pledge to all the women and men who are soon-to-be-married to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your relationship. Take a deep breath, take your time and sketch a mental image of your future as a couple.
