BHAIRAHAWA, May 7: Lumbini World Peace Forum has felicitated different individuals and organizations for their efforts and contributions by awarding them with the “Lumbini World Peace Honor 2023”. Amidst a function in Bhairahawa, the honor was presented by Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, the chief minister of Lumbini Province, on the occasion of Buddha Purnima on May 5.
This year’s honorees include Annapurna Media Network's climate and environmental campaign, "Unity for Sustainability," has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious "Lumbini World Peace Honor 2023" award.

The "Unity for Sustainability" campaign was selected for its exceptional efforts to raise awareness about the climate crisis and promote sustainable practices. In addition to "Unity for Sustainability," other honorees include "Tour de Lumbini," a pedal for peace campaign, Senior Journalist Madhav Dhungana, and Social Activist Bijaya Khatary Rawal. Each honoree was recognized for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields.
The "Tour de Lumbini" campaign was recognized for its efforts to promote peace and harmony through cycling. Senior Journalist Madhav Dhungana was honored for his exceptional work in promoting press freedom and human rights, while Social Activist Bijaya Khatary Rawal was recognized for her outstanding efforts to promote gender equality and women's rights this year.
