KATHMANDU, Oct 3: In an effort to champion sustainability and environmental consciousness, the Lumbini World Peace Forum, in partnership with Tokha Municipality and Jyoti Bikash Bank, organized a "Tree Plantation Drive" on Saturday, September 30th, in Chandeshwari, Tokha-2, Kathmandu.
The event witnessed enthusiastic volunteers from Lumbini World Peace Forum and Tokha-2, coming together to plant 200 Bay Leaf plants (Tejpatta) in a designated public space earmarked for park development. This initiative, a key facet of the “1 Million Trees Plantation and Conservation Drive,” underscores the collective vision of Lumbini World Peace Forum towards fortifying green cover to combat climate change and foster a more sustainable future.
Jyoti Bikash Bank, the corporate partner, has been instrumental in supporting Lumbini World Peace Forum's ambitious "1 Million Trees Plantation and Conservation Campaign '' since its inception in 2019.
