It is immediately not known as to what transpired during the meeting. Sources, however, said the meeting is a part of the efforts made by President Bhandari to stop the formal split of the CPN-UML. A former leader of the UML, President Bhandari has been taking proactive measures to resolve the intra-party disputes in the UML even after assuming the post of the head of the state.
Amid bitter row between Chairman Oli and Nepal for the past several months, the UML’s senior leader Nepal has already filed an application to form a new political party called CPN (Unified Socialist). The party is likely to get official recognition on Wednesday.
