Mahabir Pun to be honored with 'Gandaki Ratna Award'
Mahabir Pun was honored with the Gandaki Ratna Award by the government of Gandaki Province at a function held in Pokhara on Monday.
Gandaki Province Chief Prithviman Gurung bestowed the award on Pun who was awarded on the completion of four years of Gandaki Province government.
The province has initiated the step to honor the distinguished persons born in Gandaki who have contributed to the prosperity of the province. Plans have been formulated to honor those who have contributed to the fields of education, health and sports, agriculture and cooperatives, industry tourism, environment, infrastructure development and disaster management, language, culture, public administration, and other sectors.
