Make public progress on Nepal-India border survey: Bibeksheel Sajha to govt

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Bibeksheel Sajha Party Nepal has urged the government to make public the progress on the Nepal-India border survey conducted recently by Nepal.

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Bibeksheel Sajha Party Nepal has urged the government to make public the progress on the Nepal-India border survey conducted recently by Nepal. 


Status of missing and damaged border pillars should be given, and historical facts related to the border pillar and technology used to survey the border be publicized, said a statement issued by the Bibeksheel Sajha's Spokesperson Ramesh Poudel.

The statement also asked the government to be serious about sensitive issue like the border, and stay away from engaging in any such activity that affect country's territorial integrity, sovereignty, nationality and independence. 


It has also drawn the attention of the government to the reports that more than 30 bighas of land have been encroached upon at Chhapkaiya area in Birgunj Metropolitan City-1 in the course of construction and repair of missing and damaged border pillars carried out jointly by Nepal and India.
