KATHMANDU, Aug 20: A pedestrian was caught with two kg of gold in Rasuwa.
According to Rasuwa police chief DSP Jyotiram KC, 24-year-old Sudip Sherpa, who was walking from Timure to Syafrubesi, was arrested with gold shaped like a biscuit when the police searched him at 5 PM on Saturday.
"The regular police checking team from Syafrubesi frisked him after receiving a tip-off," DSP KC said.

Sherpa had concealed the gold in a black chestguard worn inside a white T-shirt.
Sherpa of Sindhupalchok Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-5 Pokhari said that the gold was given to him by Fusangbu Sherpa, who lived in Sindhupalchowk Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-1 and now lives in Timure of Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2 of Rasuwa.
The police also arrested Fusangbu shortly after.
DSP KC said that both of them and the gold were sent to the Department of Revenue Investigation Office, Lalitpur.
