KATHMANDU, Jan 21: A person has been arrested from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Customs area with about half a kilo of gold. Khagendra Darji of Jhapa was arrested with 499 grams of gold.
Head of Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office Tokaraj Pandey said that Darji who came to Kathmandu via Doha was arrested with 499 grams of gold during the routine check.
Indian nationals held for smuggling gold
Some of the recovered gold is also in a semi-solid state.
Only recently, a team of the Armed Police Force (APF) has been mobilized in the TIA customs area. This arrest has been considered a success after the mobilization of the APF team.
