Man dies in mishap involving electric saw

MALEKHU, Feb 11: A person died after being injured while cutting wood with an electric saw in Dhading district on Saturday.

MALEKHU, Feb 11: A person died after being injured while cutting wood with an electric saw in Dhading district on Saturday.


The 38-year-old man from Sanghutar of Nilkantha municipality-8, Raj Kumar Shrestha, received severe injuries in his body with the electric saw which he was using to cut trees in the Amarawati community forest.

The mishandled electric saw flipped and hurled at him causing deep cuts in his body leading to his death. He was taken to the District Hospital, Dhading, for treatment, according to an eye witness.


Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Dhading, Santulal Prasad Jaiswar, said that there were severe injuries in Shrestha's chest and stomach. Investigation into the incident is underway, he added.
