MORANG, JUNE 29: A man’s body has been found in a drain in Sarochiya, Biratnagar Metropolitan City-6. Morang Police Spokesperson DSP Deepak Shrestha said that 30-year-old Santosh Mandal of Biratnagar-5 was found dead in the drain at around 11:30 PM on Tuesday.

According to him, the head and the body were found submerged in the drain water and the legs were outside. A bicycle was also found fallen near the body of Mandal.
Police have speculated that he might have died after falling into the drain while cycling at night. According to the police, Mandal’s dead body has been taken to Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar, for a postmortem and an investigation into the incident is underway.
