MELAMCHI, September 4: A dispute between two friends in an inebriated condition resulted in the death of one of them at Palchok, Helambu rural municipality in Sindhupalchok district last night.
Man stabs friend to death
Sujan Chaudhary hit his friend Bishal Chaudhary on the head with a hammer. Bishal died on instantaneously. Both them are from Bara Bardiya Municipality-7, Bardiya district and have been working as labourers in the construction of the building of the Jaya Bageshwari Secondary School here.
Sujan confessed to killing his friend when a police team reached the incident site for investigation. Police have arrested him and confiscated the hammer with which he struck his friend.
The body has been brought to the Melamchi health centre for a post-mortem examination and would be handed over the family members when they come to take it, the Area Police Office, Melamchi stated.
