WEST RUKUM, Nov 18: A 49-year-old man has murdered his wife and son at Triveni Rural Municipality-1 in Rukum district at 2:00 am today. According to District Police Office, West Rukum, Satta Bahadur Budha murdered his wife Indra Kala Budha, 42, and son Swyam Prakash Budha, 11.
DSP of West Rukum Sumit Khadka said that the two were found dead when the police personnel reached the location based on the information provided by the local residents. Indra Kala was shot dead while Swyam Prakash was attacked with a sharp weapon, Khukuri.

After the murder of wife and son, Satta Bahadur made a failed attempt for killing self by attacking with Khukuri, DSP Khadka shared adding that further investigations into the case would be initiated soon.
Local residents have said that Satta Bahadur is mentally retarded and was brought back home from the forest recently after his five-day stay in the forest.
