POKHARA, Feb 7: A-Division League champion Manang Marshyangdi Club has advanced into the semifinals of the ongoing Manakamana Cable Car Pokhara Cup with a 5-4 tie-breaker win over first division outfit Brigade Boys Club in Pokhara on Wednesday.
At the Pokhara Stadium, the match was pushed into the tie-breaker after the regulated and extra time ended 1-1.
Brigade keeper Lucky Kumar Karki was shown red card in the 88th minute as he fouled Manang striker Afeez Olawale just outside the box.

Earlier, Brigade went ahead courtesy of a 15th minute goal from Ritik Khadka.
He beat two defenders and his shot from inside the box hit the underside of the bar, finding its way to the net.
Manang equalized the game in the 67th minute as Bimal Rana converted in a headed pass from Olawale.
Brigade, which started the penalty shootout, could not take the lead as Manang keeper Bishal Shrestha saved Padam Bhattarai’s spot kick.
Manang won the game via a winning penalty from defender Suraj Bishwokarma. Captain Sujal Shrestha, Heman Gurung, Kamal Shrestha and Prakash Budhathoki also scored.
Meanwhile, for Brigade, Randip Poudel, Suraj Thakuri, Jaya Gurung and Manoj Rai scored.
Departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) Club will take on Risho University of Japan in the first semifinal match on Thursday.
