KARNALI, Dec 19: Karnali Province Chief Minister (CM) Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has said that the mandate of the 14th General Convention of Nepali Congress (NC) has motivated him to build a better and stronger NC. Speaking at a program after losing the election for the post of Joint-General Secretary from the backward region, CM Shahi expressed his commitment to be more active in making the party dynamic.
At the vote-counting process held on Friday, CM Shahi lost against another Joint-General Secretary candidate Badri Pandey by 278 votes. Accepting the vote results, CM Shahi congratulated and expressed his best wishes to Pandey on winning the election. He opined that losing and winning in the party’s elections should not be taken seriously.

CM Shahi also mentioned that he is aiming to establish the party leaders and members of the backward areas as eligible leaders in the upcoming elections.
