Maoist Center leaders urge for dignified merger

KATHMANDU, April 22: The meeting of CPN Maoist Center concluded with a remark of ‘respectful party merger’. A meeting of Maoist leaders at chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence, Khumaltar since 7 AM today urged the latter not to take decisions that would affect the party in the name of merger.

KATHMANDU, April 22: The meeting of CPN Maoist Center concluded with a remark of ‘respectful party merger’. A meeting of Maoist leaders at chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence, Khumaltar since 7 AM today urged the latter not to take decisions that would affect the party in the name of merger.  


At the meeting, Dahal debriefed his leaders regarding reports presented by two party’s working committees. The two committees have urged Dahal and his counterpart, KP Sharma Oli to solve remaining differences affecting party unification.

Dahal shared that ideological, political and structural framework for a new party was going positively, and additional discussions were ongoing to ensure equal representation.  


Maoist Center leaders highlighted that while unification was the need of the hour, they also cautioned Dahal to ensure party merger concluded in a dignified, respectful and equal terms.
