SINDHULI, March 20: Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said his party must win the election on its own might for the sake of country and people.

Chairperson Dahal said it during a program organized at Sindhulimadhi on Saturday. The Maoist Center’s electoral victory is imperative also for the protection of the constitution and democracy. He argued that if the party faced drubbing in the coming election, it would be a huge loss to the country and party as well.

"We're still fighting for the sake of the country, but a conspiracy is being hatched against CPN MC. So, party cadres and leaders should be connected to people as they did during the insurgency," he viewed, calling them not to belittle the local level election.

According to him, the electoral loss to the party is the loss to the republic. Chairperson Dahal further viewed the failure would also fail the objective of insurgency and peace process.

He blamed the CPN UML for obstructing parliament for a long time for no reason. The UML emerged antagonistic to the campaign of establishing socialism in the country. Special caution is required against the elements that decry federalism and republic, according to Dahal.

Moreover, Chairperson Dahal reminded that path to federalism was paved after the Nepali Congress leader Girija Prasad Koirala and he signed for the peace process. "As the major signatory for the peace process, I need to protect the constitution in a crisis," he asserted.
