Maoist Center wins chief, deputy chief in Thori Rural Municipality

BIRGUNJ, Sept 21: CPN (Maoist Center) has won both chief and deputy chief of Thori Rural Municipality of Parsa District.

BIRGUNJ, Sept 21: CPN (Maoist Center) has won both chief and deputy chief of Thori Rural Municipality of Parsa District.


CPN Maoist Center’s candidate Padam Lal Shrestha has been elected as chief of Thori Rural Municipality while Shanti Thing as deputy chief. Shrestha got 2, 754 votes to win the elections while his closest rival of CPN-UML Lal Bahadur Shrestha got 2,346 votes.

Similarly, Thing got 2, 435 votes to become the deputy chief while his closet rival of CPN-UML Gokul Kumari Regmi got 2, 296 votes. It is learnt that Maoist candidate Shrestha has maintained a clean image in the district.
