KATHMANDU, Feb 13: CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has urged the UK Minister of State for Armed Forces, Mark Lancaster, for increased British investment in Nepal as the country was headed towards economic prosperity with the conclusion of all three levels of elections considered the main basis of constitution implementation.
In a meeting with the visiting British Minister of State at his residence in Khumaltar today, the Maoist Centre Chair and former Prime Minister said the unification process with the CPN (UML) has been pursued respecting the Nepali people's desire for political stability and prosperity, Dahal's private secretariat has stated in a press release.

Chairman Dahal believed that the unity process has moved ahead with the formation of the unity coordination committee for party unity and that this unity would play a big role for bringing stability and overall development to the country. He also maintained that the 33 per cent representation of women has been ensured at all the political levels following the election to the local level, Province Assembly and Federal Parliament.
The Maoist Centre Chair expressed gratitude to the government and the people of the United Kingdom for the assistance it has extended to the peace process, good governance and development sector of Nepal.
On the occasion, the British Minister of State had inquired about Nepal's latest political situation and issues as party unity, good governance and development after the conclusion of the elections. He also discussed with Chair Dahal on the implementation aspect of the constitutional provision on women's participation in the state mechanism, Chairman Dahal's secretariat stated. RSS
