CHITWAN, April 26: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal clarified that he is in Chitwan not for relaxation but for the district's development. He informed that he has intensified visits to different places of the district to get updated with the current problems and issues faced by the district.
Speaking at an interaction program on development and prosperity organized in Bharatpur by Press Center, Chitwan, Dahal said he has prioritized development of Chitwan and therefore is working for the same.
Elections significant for political stability
“It's completely wrong to say that I'm here just for the relaxation,” said Maoist Center Chair Dahal. “Rather, I'm here to see the prospects of development. Whenever I visit Chitwan, I visit at least some areas of the district for the same reason,” added Dahal, who has been elected from Chitwan Constituency 3.
Dahal shared that integrated model should be developed by incorporating districts surrounding Chitwan. “Development model shall be introduced for mutual development of Nawalpur, Makwanpur, Dhading while considering relationship with India and geopolitics,” he said. Dahal further added that development model shall be introduced as per Asian and international standards.
In the interaction program, Dahal also expressed his commitment to develop the district as a hub for tourism, health facilities and education. According to Dahal, preparations are being made to keep the central office of the President Chure Conservation Program and the office of the provincial police in Chitwan. Likewise, he also informed that talks are progressing with the northern neighbor China to establish 25 industries in Chitwan, including garment, shoes, steel and iron industries.
