Maple Bear launches first center in Nepal

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Maple Bear South Asia, a Canadian pre-school group, has launched its first center in Nepal in Chapali area in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Maple Bear South Asia, a Canadian pre-school group, has launched its first center in Nepal in Chapali area in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu on Friday.


The center boasts of a modern infrastructure with well-appointed classrooms and play areas, offering education and child care programs for children from six weeks to 10 years of age. These include the Infant Care & Early Learning, Toddlers, Nursery, Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten programs, according to a press statement issued by the organization.

The school was inaugurated in the presence of Rodney Briggs, Chairman and President of Maple Bear Global Schools, Vice President of Corporate Communications & Social Impact of Maple Bear Global Schools Robin Pascoe, Director of Maple Bear South Asia Piya Modi and CEO of Maple Bear South Asia Sumit Taxali. 


“Motivated by our vision to help build a strong foundation of early education for a better future of our children, we were looking to start a quality preschool in Kathmandu. Maple Bear provided us everything we were looking for in terms of a progressive curriculum and learning methodology that all young learners growing up in the 21st century need and deserve,” the statement quoted owner of Maple Bear Canadian Pre-School in Chapali Jennifer Shrestha as saying. Shrestha also said that they are proud to associate with Maple Bear to launch their first pre-school in the country. 


Addressing the inauguration function, Chairman and President, Maple Bear Global Schools Rodney Briggs said that they are happy to welcome students and parents in Kathmandu to the Maple Bear Global family. "Our curriculum, which is based on the globally reckoned Canadian education practices and learning methodology, prepares young learners to be critical thinkers who can act in a world of fast and frequent transformations.
