Massive fire destroys shops, houses in Dadeldhura

DADELDHURA, Jan 4: A fire that broke out at Bagarbata in the district headquarters of Dadeldhura, turned three shops and a house to ashes on Thursday evening, police said.

DADELDHURA, Jan 4: A fire that broke out at Bagarbata in the district headquarters of Dadeldhura, reduced three shops and a house to ashes late Thursday, police said.


A grocery store owned by Tek Paneru, photo studio, and another vegetable store were reduced to ashes due to the inferno, according to DSP Damber Bahadur KC . Local resident Raj Joshi’s house has also been destroyed due to the fire.

The fire that started at around 11:40 PM was brought under control only after two hours with the help of fire engine.


The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. This is the third fire incident in the district in the past week.


A week ago a fire that broke out at a grocery store in Bagbazar, the district headquarters of Dadeldhura, had reduced property worth Rs 2 million to ashes.
