MCC Vice President Brooks pays courtesy call on DPM Shrestha

KATHMANDU, May 20: A meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Vice President of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Jonathan Brooks on Saturday.


The team led by MCC Vice President Brooks, who is on a visit to Nepal, reached the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singha Durbar on Saturday to pay a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha.

In the meeting, Brooks asked for assistance from the Ministry of Home Affairs in the work of land acquisition, security and coordination for the MCC project, while Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha said that the ministry and subordinate administrative agencies would provide necessary support to take the project forward so that it would be completed on time.


Home Secretary Gobind Bhattarai, who participated in the meeting, mentioned that Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha told the delegation of the project that there will be sufficient and necessary support from the ministry to complete the MCC project on time.
