Men held on charges of fleecing millions of rupees made public

RUPANDEHI, Jan 24: Rupandehi police on Wednesday made public a group of people arrested on charges of fleecing people by promising them a job in networking business amid a press meet in Lumbini.


The arrestees swindled many people from different parts of the country out of millions of rupees by promising them a job in various networking companies in various places of India, said Spokesperson for the District Police Office Dilli Narayan Pandey.

Arpan Lama of Dordi rural municipality in Lamjung, Kushal Ram Chaudhary of Lamahi-4 in Dang, Gyanendra Magar of Rolang in Dhading, Chandit Singh of Khanikhola rural municipality in Kavrepalanchok and Dawa Lama of Nijgadh in Bara—were made public today. They were arrested acting upon a complaint by the victims, he said. 


The arrestees were working in the networking companies established in various places in India. 


The money that the arrestees fleeced ranges from Rs 8,000 to Rs 300,000 from each person, said Pandey, adding that a fraud case has been filed against them.
