The 200-km road section was damaged by the flood caused by the lake breach. The lake is located at the border of Badigad rural municipality and Dhorpatan municipality of Baglung district. The mid-hill highway project office in Parbat district has informed that it would take three weeks to open track to resume vehicular movement along the highway. Office chief Ashish Thapamagar said although the opening of track had begun, rocky topography was posing a challenge.

With the damage of the district section, direct connection of various municipalities to the district headquarters has been cut off, he added.
