Migrant workers urge to manage direct flights to Middle East countries

Qatar, July 24: The 5th Middle East Regional Conference of Non-residential Nepalese Association (NRNA) concluded with a 13-point declaration on Friday.

Qatar, July 24: The 5th Middle East Regional Conference of Non-residential Nepalese Association (NRNA) concluded with a 13-point declaration on Friday.


In the declaration, the conference has among others urged to manage work permit and insurance in the country where the migrant workers are working. Likewise, the government should permit the migrant workers to import gold and it should establish consulate office and diplomatic mission in United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Iraq.

Similarly, the conference held with the slogan of Respected Migrant Employment: Foundation for Prosperous Nepal urged the government to manage direct flights to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain among other Middle East countries.


The declaration also calls on the the government to in invite representatives of migrant workers while drafting laws concerning the migrant workers and foreign employment.


On the occasion, Nepalese Charge de affairs to Qatar Maniratna Sharma expressed commitment to support any Nepalese migrant workers in need of help.


Similarly, NRNA President Shesh Ghale said that the foreign employment should be made respected and fair to ensure that no one is cheated. RSS
