KATHMANDU, May 2: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali returned home today after participating in the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and upon visiting the Tibet Autonomous Region of People's Republic of China. Minister Gyawali was seen off by deputy general secretary of Tibet, Chhi Dang Hu, at the Gongar airport in Lhasa.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Gyawali has said President Bidya Devi Bhandari's state visit to China at the invitation of her Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping has been overall historic, very successful, fruitful and meaningful. He opined that the topics raised during the bilateral talks, the discussions held on these topics and the agreements and protocols signed during the President's visit will further strengthen the close relations between the two countries.
China urged to build railway under grant
Stating that issues of Nepal's concern were also included in the multi-sectoral discussions with China, he said this would help take the development works of Nepal further ahead in the coming days. Chief minister of State-3 government Dormani Poudel, members of the Federal Parliament, high officials of the Government of Nepal, Nepal's ambassador to China, Leelamani Poudyal, Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Hu Yanqi were with Minister Gyawali.
