Karki assumes office as Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs

KATHMANDU, Oct 14: Minister for Information and Communications Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has assumed office as the Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Oct 14: Minister for Information and Communications Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has assumed office as the Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Friday. 


On that occasion, Minister Karki expressed his commitment to implement the rule of law and good governance in a practical manner. Karki said, “Legislation and reform is a continuous process, focusing on those who are not within the reach of the law. I will do necessary homework in such a way that it will be easy to submit the bills that have been submitted to the parliament and those that have not been submitted to the parliament will be expedited after the election.”

Minister Karki said that he has always respected the independent judiciary and said that the current government is focused on conducting elections in a fair, peaceful and lawful manner. He expressed confidence that the government that will be formed after the elections on November 20 will take the country forward on the path of economic development. 


Secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Udaya Raj Sapkota had briefed Minister Karki about the activities and future plans of the ministry.
