Minister Khadka calls for making COVID-19 vaccine accessible to all

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Narayan Khadka said that COVID-19 pandemic was a common problem worldwide and called on the world community to make vaccination accessible and affordable to all.

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Narayan Khadka said that COVID-19 pandemic was a common problem worldwide and called on the world community to make vaccination accessible and affordable to all.


Virtually addressing Galvanizing Momentum's high-level program for universal vaccination, Minister Khadka said that global vaccination is one of the most reliable bases for pandemic prevention.

Minister Khadka said that in order to make the vaccine accessible to all, attention should be paid to its promotion. He pointed out that the pandemic had caused great economic damage, especially in poor countries and emphasized the need for rich nations to contribute to the economic development of poor countries.


"Nepal aims to vaccinate all citizens over the age of 12 by April this year," Minister Khadka said. At the event, he expressed his gratitude to neighboring and other friendly countries and development partners for providing vaccines to Nepal.
