KATHMANDU, July 20: Minister for Youth and Sports Dig Bahadur Limbu has congratulated Sabitra Bhandari, who has got the opportunity to play in a professional football game from a European club.
A member of the national women football team, Bhandari has got the opportunity to play for the Hapoel Ra'anana Association Football Club of Israel.

At a programme organized at the Ministry of Youth and Sports today, Minister Limbu extended best wishes to Bhandari.
On the occasion, the Minister hoped that Bhandari would be successful in further honing her footballing skills making the most of the opportunity thereby contributing to uplift the standard of Nepali women football.
The Ministry has highly praised the player from Simpani of Lamjung district for enhancing the national pride demonstrating her acumen in various tournaments playing from the Nepali national team.
Bhandari is the first Nepali woman to sign with a European Club. She will be leaving for Europe in the first week of August.
Before this, Bhandari played in the League Game from Sethu AFC and Gokulum Kerala, India. She plays in forward position.
