KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Uma Regmi has urged China to extend further support to help poor and destitute people in Nepal.

Addressing the sixth founding anniversary of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation in the capital on Wednesday, Minister Regmi also appreciated the support being provided to Nepal by the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. Minister Regmi said that she hopes to see the Foundation further expanding its support to poor and destitute people in Nepal.


On the occasion, Minister Regmi mentioned that China had provided large quantity of COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal to help contain the spread of this pandemic. Minister Regmi expressed confidence that the relations between the two countries will strengthen further in the days ahead.
