Kathmandu, Jan 3: Kanjirowa National School held a Model United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.
Students from Grade 8 to 10 identified themselves as delegates of several UN member states and discussed on various current international affairs.
The participants were divided into seven different agencies and committees for discussions that focused on promoting livelihood, refugees, mitigating public health, effects of climate change, gender equality, protecting world heritage sites, poverty and human rights, among others.
Mahendra Khanal, the principal of the school, said that this activity is important part of practical education which will help in providing an opportunity of experimental learning to students.
Kanjirowa National School conducts Model United Nations every year to help students learn the procedures and functions of the UN General Assembly.
