KATHMANDU, April 11: In light of a federal Nepal, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has scrapped around two dozen district level government offices from today.
The Ministry has scrapped offices under agriculture; division cooperative; drinking water; forest; irrigation; land conservation; public health; women development; land revenue, measurement and reform among others. Works of these offices will be carried out by local governments.

Following the decision, District Coordination Committees will handover office belongings to local government, Rudra Singh Tamang, spokesperson of the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration said.
The District Education Office will be scrapped from next academic session, according to Tamang.
