MoHP reports 593 new cases today, Nepal’s Covid-19 tally jumps to 11,755 (with video)

KATHMANDU, June 26: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) reported 593 more cases of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) disease on Friday afternoon.

KATHMANDU, June 26: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) reported 593 more cases of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) disease on Friday afternoon.


With 486 males and 107 females testing positive for this virus infection in the last 24 hours, the number of people infected by this virus in the country so far has reached 11,755 including 1,249 females and 10,506 males.

Speaking during a virtual media briefing on Friday afternoon, MoHP Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam said that a total of 6,534 PCR tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours.


Meanwhile, 48 patients --- 8 females and 40 males -- were discharged from various isolation centers in the country on Friday. This takes the recovery tally to 2698 as of Friday afternoon.
