Likewise, 20 families of Banskharha VDC-9 in the district are living under the constant fear of being buried as long and deep fissures are seen in the earth above the village.

Parbat's Assistant Chief District Officer Prabin Dhakal said the families facing a risk of landslide are requested to move to safer places.

District Soil Conservation Office's technician Prakash Basnet said the office was not in the position of taking immediate measures to control landslides as deep cracks have appeared in the hill above the village. A large swath of land beneath is at high risk of being hit by landslides, he said.

The District Administration Office Parbat said it was effortful to reach to the affected with immediate relief assistance materials that include tents and foodstuffs. RSS
