More than half a million tourists arrive in Nepal in eleven months

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: In the duration of eleven months of 2022, more than half a million foreign tourists arrived in Nepal. According to government officials, a total of 542,975 foreign tourists from different countries visited Nepal from January to November this year.

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: In the duration of eleven months of 2022, more than half a million foreign tourists arrived in Nepal. According to government officials, a total of 542,975 foreign tourists from different countries visited Nepal from January to November this year.


A total of 16,975 tourists entered Nepal in the month of January, 2022 according to the data of the Department of Immigration. Similarly, 19,766 foreign tourists entered Nepal in February.

Similarly, 42,006 tourists entered Nepal in the month of March 2022, which is more than double compared to the month of February. It is also mentioned in the data that most of the tourists arrived from India in the review month.


Likewise, in the month of April, 58,348 tourists visited Nepal. The number of tourists visiting Nepal dropped in May, when 53,608 tourists entered Nepal. 


After analyzing the data, it has been found that 46,957 tourists entered Nepal in June, followed by 44,462 tourists in July, 41,304 tourists in August, 58,314 tourists in September and 88,582 October. According to the data of  Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 72,653 tourists visited Nepal  in the month of November, 2022.
