BIRGUNJ, Aug 1: Incessant rainfall has affected the installation of petroleum pipelines from Motihari of India to Amlekhgunj of Bara.
Laying pipeline has been so far completed in 15 kms out of 70 kms petroleum pipeline. The works have been heavily disturbed due to frequent rainfall.
Cross-country petroleum pipeline test goes successful
It may be noted that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi had jointly inaugurated the Motihari-Amlekhgunj petroleum pipeline from Haidarabad House in New Delhi during Nepal PM's state visit to India on last April.
The pipeline construction is underway at the cost of Rs 2.75 billion. The Indian government has pledged to aid Rs 2 billion while Nepal is investing Rs 750 million for the project. RSS
