MPs draw govt’s attention to fertilizer supply and waste management

KATHMANDU, June 9: Members of the House of Representatives (HoR) have drawn the attention of the government saying that the farmers are in trouble due to the scarcity of fertilizers in the country.

KATHMANDU, June 9: Members of the House of Representatives (HoR) have drawn the attention of the government saying that the farmers are in trouble due to the scarcity of fertilizers in the country.


Speaking at Thursday’s HoR meeting, MP Hridayesh Tripathi accused the government of not paying attention to the shortage of chemical fertilizers in the country. He said that if this situation continues, the production of paddy will also decrease this year.

Similarly, MP Krishna Bahadur Rai drew the attention of the government to manage waste in the Kathmandu Valley.


Another lawmaker Ganesh Singh Thagunna said that a single woman was set on fire in Darchula on Wednesday and demanded that the culprits be arrested and action be taken against them.
