KATHMANDU, May 13: Chairman of Bibeksheel Sajha Party, Rabindra Mishra has asked the government to hold dialogues with the friendly nations, import necessary equipment and set up oxygen plants at government hospitals at the earliest.

Issuing a video message addressing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday, Mishra asked the government to provide treatment to the corona patients free of cost. He also drew the attention of the government about the acute shortage of lifesaving oxygen at hospitals. “How would you feel if you didn’t get a kidney ahead of the transplantation?” he asked.

Mishra urged the government not to shy away from the state’s responsibility to take care of its citizens at the time of emergency. “You are not supposed to direct the private hospitals to set up oxygen plants within 15 days as it should be the state's responsibility to take charge of the situation.”

In the two and a half minutes video message, Mishra also advised the government to ask the security bodies including Nepal Army and Nepal Police to immediately set up temporary treatment centers to address the current situation.
