KATHMANDU, April 15: MrBeast, the celebrity YouTuber with the highest number of subscribers globally, has dramatically transformed a Nepali hospital. His team, which arrived in Nepal in December 2023, recently released a video detailing their renovation efforts at a hospital in Fikkal Rural Municipality, Sindhuli.
The video narrates the poignant story of Neera, a local woman who tragically lost her child due to the cold and a lack of medical supplies. It showcases the ongoing construction and the dedicated health workers at the hospital.
Thousands affected at Koshi Zonal Hospital
In collaboration with the social organization 'Give Power,' MrBeast's team, including biomedical engineer Sanjay Bahadur Singh Thakuri, had begun repair work. The video highlights the introduction of maternity services at the facility.
Darren Margolis, a member of MrBeast’s team, commended the local tea from the Himalayan region of Nepal. The team also installed solar panels and provided 10 'Baby Warmer Devices,' showcasing the transformation from an abandoned building to a well-equipped hospital.
The hospital is expected to benefit approximately 16,000 people. The video captures a touching moment where villagers gather at the hospital, lighting the facility for the first time.
