BHAIRAHAWA, Aug 29: A fugitive father who has been on the run for 22 years has been arrested for murdering his daughter.
Purnabasi Loniya,63, of Gaidahawa rural municipality-6, in Rupandehi, had killed his daughter Kanti Loniya, aged 15 back on August 29,1997. After the murder, he had buried the dead body at a nearby crematorium and filed the missing case into the police station himself.

Following the investigation, police found his alleged involvement in the case. However, he ran away since then.
The police have taken Loniya under control from Gaidahawa-5 based land revenue office and presented at the District Court, Rupandehi on Thursday, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson at District Police Office Dharmaraj Bhandari.
