Museums in Kathmandu Valley to be closed from Saturday

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: A meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur on Thursday decided to close all museums in the valley effective from tonight. The decision comes in the wake of growing risk of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: A meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur on Thursday decided to close all museums in the valley effective from tonight. The decision comes in the wake of growing risk of the Omicron variant of COVID-19. 


According to Sandeep Khanal, Chief Officer at Hanumandhoka Durbar Museum, preparations are being made to close the museum from Saturday.

The National Museum, Mudra Museum, Narayanhiti Palace Museum, Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Museum will also be closed to the public from tonight. The museums will remain closed till further notice.
