BIRATNAGAR, Oct 12: The Muslim community celebrated Muharram festival with gaiety and fervor here on Wednesday.
The festival commemorates the martyrdom of the Hasan-Hussain brothers.

In this connection, the Muslims held a rally along with tajia. The participants of the rally were wielding sticks and swords as per the tradition. They brandished the sticks and swords at the main squares of the town in course of the procession.
