It has been reported that Batas Group has signed an agreement with BPS Leasing Company on January 1, 2021 to operate a Royal Bagaicha Restaurant inside the museum owned by Nepal Trust. The agreement was reached with BPS Leasing Company 12 days after Bhattarai's resignation.

Bhattarai said he had no involvement in the decision and was not aware of any such decision. Taking to social media, he asked not to make news and comments in a way that would tarnish the public image of anyone without any fault. He has also challenged anyone making the claim to produce the decision with his signature and make it public.
