NA lawmakers ask govt to inform about quarantined students

KATHMANDU, Feb 18: National Assembly members have demanded the government to give information about the condition of four Nepali students, who were not being able to be evacuated from China.


During zero hour of today's NA meeting, Nepal Communist Party lawmaker Balram Banskota asked the government to brief the House about the condition of the quarantined students. Expressing gratitude to the government for rescuing Nepali students from China on time, he urged the government to give information about the four students, who were not being able to be rescued.

The government has kept 175 people at Kharipati-based quarantine rescuing them from China on Sunday morning after coronavirus started taking epidemic form in China.


Similarly, another lawmaker of NCP, Nainkala Ojha, congratulated newly appointed Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe and wished for their successful term.


Saying daily activities have been hampered in lack of appointment of office-bearers at the different universities and constitutional bodies, Nepali Congress lawmaker Prakash Panta raised question when the universities and constitutional bodies will get full shape.
