Nepal Airlines to resume daily flights to India from Dec 17

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The state-owned Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is set to resume its daily flight service to India starting Thursday, December 17.

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The state-owned Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is set to resume its daily flight service to India starting Thursday, December 17.


The flight to Delhi, India will depart everyday at 11:20 AM from Tribhuvan International Airport. According to NAC, all safety protocols will be followed during the flights to contain the spread of COVID-19.

All international flights were halted since March over the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic. The service has resumed after more than five months. Although the government had decided to resume regular international flights from September, suspension on flights between the two countries was not lifted as COVID-19 cases were increasing in India.


A meeting of the Council of Ministers on November 25 had decided to accept the 'air bubble model' proposed by India regarding the resumption of flights between the two countries.
